Ophthalmic surgery is the branch of veterinary medicine that deals with caring for an animal's eyes.

For eye exams, specialized equipment is required, such as an ophthalmoscope (a magnifying light to examine within the eye).While many eye conditions can be treated effectively, some may necessitate surgery.

A specialized equipment called a tono-pen helps to provide an accurate measurement of the ocular pressure. In situations where the pressure is too high, we offer the required surgical approach.

Eyelid tumors need to be removed to treat a dog or cat's protruding third eyelid. For complex eyelid surgery, cataract removal, corneal grafting, and other speciality procedures, our veterinarians can also send your pet to a veterinary ophthalmologist.
